DİRENİŞLE KARŞILAŞTIĞIMIZDA İTTİFAKLAR KURMAK

Bazen kendi camiamız içinde, kabul ve destek kazanmak için harcadığımız emekler pürüzsüz bir şekilde karşılık bulurken bazen de direnişle karşılaşır. Aileler okullarda, ibadet mekanlarında ve kendi aile ve arkadaş çevrelerinde sık sık engellerle karşılaşılaşabilirler. Bu direnişle nasıl ve ne zaman mücadele edeceğimize karar vermek üzücü ve başa çıkılamaz gibi görünebilir. Konuşmacılar bu konudaki en güncel pratiklerle ilgili bilgi verecek ve izleyicilerle birlikte potansiyel direniş noktalarını ve muhtemel karşıt görüşleri tanımlayacaklar.

BUILDING ALLIANCES WHEN WE FACE RESISTANCE

Some of the time our efforts to gain acceptance and support within our communities go smoothly. Sometimes those efforts meet resistance. Often times families are met with resistance at their schools, places of worship, and among family and friends. Deciding whether and when to push through this resistance can be heartbreaking and figuring out how to can seem insurmountable. Presenters will address current best practices, and will collaborate with the audience to identify points of potential resistance and possible pushback.
